As of 12 October 2026, Greenman Energy’s charging network has served 20,479 unique customers and delivered more than 2.2 GWh of energy through its charging points, across sites in Greenman OPEN’s grocery portfolio.
The timing is worth noting. Germany’s Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt reported a record 34.5% battery-electric share of new cars in September, with 88,599 registrations, almost double a year earlier. GME’s network is growing in a market that is adding electric cars faster than it ever has.
SPARK, GME’s own charging app launched in June, now has over 800 registered users, and over a quarter are users who charge with GME’s own charging stations. Set against 20,479 customers, that is a small share, and it is worth being straight about: SPARK is still early, and most of the network’s customers reach it by other routes. But the people who register on SPARK are converting. Just under a third have charged at least once, which fits the pattern seen in the app’s first weeks, when roughly six in ten registered users added a payment method and close to half of those went on to complete a session.
That makes the app a useful early read on how drivers choose to charge, even while the network itself is far larger than the app. A charging point that someone returns to through their own account is worth more over time than a one-off visit, because it gives GME a direct line to what those drivers want next.
Capital at risk. Long-term Investment.
